Save and close all your documents and reboot your Mac.

While it is starting up, press and and hold down the mouse button while the system starts up.

While your Mac boots, your computer's disc drive will eject any disc that's inside.

Try reinserting the disc and re-ejecting while you're in the OS itself.

If it still fails, repeat the process.
