I have a "one year Bible" that is organized to be completed in one year. I'm taking two history courses that will have different textbooks to read, and, if I'm reading for leisure, it will be one book. 

An actual answer would be that, even if a situation like the above exists, I could end up on the couch with one book in my hands for the entire day, engrossed and undistractable  (which isn't a word, but you know what I mean ).

I have a book going on each kindle and one on my Mac. Each of a different genres.....

   I only read one book at a time, and that takes me ages.  I read about three or four pages then nod off, I have to wake myself up and go back to the last paragraph I can remember and start again. 

the only book i will read now and again is the bible,,i am not a big reader,,i seem to understand the bible better than any other book..and whenever i read it i always learn something new from it..a book that has not ended yet..unlike other books..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I do the same, at the moment I am reading Christine Keeler's autobiography, The Establishment by Owen Jones, and New Scientist Magazine. I never read novels.

I typically read a few at a time in different genres. Maybe one biography, a few religious books, a short story collection, a poetry collection, a novel...
