Not very original but...My bike. It was not just a toy or a luxury or a toy but a necessity.We lived so far away from everything & Australia was an even bigger place then.(Or so it seemed to me.)

A box on an old set of pram wheels, which my brothers made for me, steering was done by you feet and a length of rope. No brakes.

jhharlan it just goes to show you're never too old for things you like and want. when i was 12 years old, skating in the projects a man said to me "aren't you too old to be skating". i guess perspective is everything.
