I use white vinegar mixed with warm water and a couple of drops of dish soap. The vinegar breaks down the film on the window. After washing the window I dry the window with news paper. I've found new paper leaves the the least amount of streaks plus it makes them look shinier.

So you "do windows" too? :)
that's what my mom did too, CB, ......the newspaper bit. It really works. BTW, she was big on cleaning anything with Vinegar. I do too, to some extent.
