    I sent someone an email yesterday and phoned today to see if it had arrived, but it had not. This has happened previously. What happens to these messages, do they circulate endlessly through cyberspace or die quickly?

    The email was text only and did not bounce. I phoned the (non)-recipient who said it had not arrived. This was not the first time.
