I live in the San Joaquin Valley, almost the exact middle of California (the exact middle is less than 20 miles north of me). Alaska has some mild weather and a lot of sunshine at certain times. My cousin visited a friend there and had a wonderful time. My mom enjoyed a cruise to Alaska many years ago and thought it was very beautiful. It would be a very fun trip, but would have to include a stopover in Canada to visit FISH-O!
My town, Fresno. Has the worst air in the nation. It's full of particles. Also, we are in a terrible drought that makes me want to move to Oregon ... or beautiful Alaska.
I live in Fresno, too. I'm thankful to have a roof over my head, food on my table, and places to shop, play, worship, and relax. I'm really sure if I lived in Oregon, I'd bemoan the excessive rain, and I'd complain about the snow and darkness in Alaska. Some places are having floods, record-setting low temperatures, and we are having drought. No place is perfect.
Actually, Bakersfield/Delano, Visalia/Porterville, Hanford/Corcoran, and Fresno are all in the top 10, but Fresno is NOT the worst in the nation. Look it up. Itsmee, you haven't had a happy day since you moved here. Maybe that is on you.
