Jenny Joseph I love her poem WARNING Here, I shall share it with you:
WARNING

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

Always wished I had a copy, but my printer never worked right. :-( . Reminds me of my mom b/c she had a couple of purple outfits that she was proud of and once told me, " I want to be buried in this outfit someday " So, I had her dressed in it for burial .
Did that author live in England, do you know, Jh ?

Actually, I am partial to stuff I've written, but Dickinson, Frost, Shakespeare, Parker, Dr. Seuss, and some I discovered in my poetry writing class last spring.

I collect lots of note books.
All meant for my new poems.
And in the end ...
The blue one is for meals served.
The red one is for birthdays.
Another for gifts
One is for my night dreams
One is for movies I want to see
One is for handy household hints
There is one with Daisies on the cover
It will be for POETRY!
Maybe tomorrow.

When link this 40mm Aquaracer was link released in 2022 one thought came to our mind TAG Heuer the Swiss entry-level brand is back. This is the brand's stab at a watch for everybody. In retrospect a 40mm TAG Heuer inspired by its first dive watches from the 1980s sounds so obvious and it is! but it was missing from the brand's catalog for far too long. Now finally we have one that can satisfy both hardcore enthusiasts and mass consumers all link for less than three grand. Tony Traina
