A man is kicked out of a local city meeting after he refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. Thoughts?

I guess he made his point. As distasteful as it may be it was his decision & he stood by it.By the sound of things according to the video voice over he probably won't be prosecuted. On the other hand maybe the Mayor will be prosecuted for violating his right not to stand & ejecting him from the meeting.Go figure!

No but we used to be forced to stand for :God save the Queen".That custom has long passed into obscurity. We stand for our own national anthem."Advance Australia Fair".Nobody is forced to stand..everybody does.:)
It's not illegal to not stand for the pledge, refuse to swear an oath, not hold your hand on a Bible, etc, etc. I wonder if anyone has tried gate crashing to enter Heaven?

In answer to my own question, that would be suicide. But you may have to go back to learn not to crash the gates.
