    How can I find out if I have any relatives in Italy?

    I am visiting Italy in three weeks, my father's family all came from the Naples area...the last name is DeFilippo     thanks

        Start at City Hall or any of the hundreds of Roman Catholic churches in and around Naples. Bring cash...it always seems to miraculously speed up the search. Buona fortuna.

          I don't know how common his last name is but you can start with facebook.com and find people living there with that name. You might even see a family resemblance!Another alternative is to win the lottery somewhere, take out an ad in Italy, and they'll try to find you.

            Yes if you won the lottery you would have long lost relatives turning up from all over the world.
