Now that governments are grabbing cash from wherever and whoever they can, is it worth saving for the future?

We were told in our youth that we should save for our old age. now you get penalised for doing so. should we just blow all our cash now?? the rich are getting obscenely richer, the poor are getting poorer day by day, and the hard working "middle class" is getting milked for everything until they join the "poor".

Hey Grit,As we get closer to retirement it becomes a must to salt away a little something for emergency"s,,i know it will make oldies a target, but if we want to survive, we must put something away in a jam tin in the back yard,,,But be very smart about it and trust NO ONE>>>>><<<<<<<

Governments have been grabbing cash for ages. Save for the future and hide as much as you can legally, put your money in things that are out of governments' reach and don't break the law.

the problem is that they change the laws. then you find yourself on the wrong side of it through no fault of your own.

To trure Grit ,they will always try to get one step ahead,

When it comes to a money crisis, I think of applications for stacks of useless currency. I papered a wall in my room, as a child, with worthless stocks and bonds left-over from a market crash. I have known family friends and relatives depressed and morose when they lost  all of their money...as if the world had ended and all that was left was the grave. That may explain why I enjoy gardening and living independently of finances as much as possible. My grandmother was a Joyful Light to be reckoned with if all else was lost. She seized the day and assigned useful tasks that kept us all alive and on-top.
