Gidday Carmon,my ride on used to do the same thing,although it was not a John Deere,,it has something to do with running at high revs, and the tempture of the fuel in the carby,although it is not a real carby as in a car.anyway i fixed my problem,by letting the motor idle down for 2 or 3 minutes, that helps use up any excess fuel in the carby,,I reckon it is a lot like a pre ignition problem..anyway give it a try and let me know how it goes................Always nice talking mate
