          I think most of the soaps encourage young people to go off the rails. I watched Coronation Street on Monday, and I was tempted to push someone off a scaffolding.

            Clerk of the works, do they still have them nowadays I wonder. I remember about 45 years ago I was working on a site, and the clerk of the works was in his office/hut/ shed. I went into to ask him a question, I forgot to knock so he shouted at me to get out. Being young and reacting on the spur of the moment, and him being a right bast--d, I walked out, slammed the door so hard, that the whole front of the shed collapsed, leaving him sitting at his desk.

            I Got to know quite a few ,one that had all the tiles change on the roof because a couple did not match in coular,that was on a bunglow stile building of 60 flatlets,
