    what does feral mean?

    someone told me that 'feral'' meant that the animal was once tame but had turned wild.  I believe that 'feral' means wild .as in always was.

          It means the animal or child grew up by himself  in the forest or some other wild state. Many city and town cats were born on the streets and raised on the streets.
