I've often wondered that as well, as far as we know it doesn't end. It seems strange though doesn't it, that you could go into space, and just continue traveling for ever.

As far a mankind knows, no space does not end. It seems to be endless. 

The meaning of space as the distance between two objects is usually denoting two similar objects while space is filled with objects that are not considered because they are dissimilar. Our human view of things is quite limited and easily dismissive of things that cannot be viewed and agreed upon to be considered real. Mystics and meditators may know of other realities and experience them also. The rules of reality are also different. But that does not mean they are any less or more real...just different.

No. It goes on forever. I know it's hard to comprehend that, b/c  we humans are oriented to think of a start and a finish.....a beginning and an end. But , the bible says  Gods thoughts are higher than our thoughts . And our thoughts are not His thoughts.

Space had a beginning and so must be finite. However, it is expanding so rapidly that we would never be able to get beyond it, so, for all intents and purposes it may as well be endless and also the light at the end of the universe is so far away that it hasn't reached us yet, so there hasn't been a satisfactory answer yet.
