Music is my first hobby too Doris, I play the piano and clarinet. Do you play an instrument ? I find it unwinds me to play , particularly the piano. I play most days when I get home, before we have dinner.

Your in the timpani section then. A friend of mine's brother plays in the timpani section in the BBC symphony orchestra. He usually plays at the last night of the proms. That's just as difficult as any other section, timing is the most important thing in music.

We had a few 78s when I was a kid. I play the piano, flute, guitar, harmonica, spoons, lap dulcimer, penny whistle, drums.
For a lot of those, I am self-taught.
