Are you sure it's transmission fluid and not hydraulic oil?

transmission & hydraulic oil are the same, called HYTRAN

Well not to someone who does not repair tractors. When looking for repair help, it's best to be specific. Transmissions use tranny fluid. Hydraulics use Hydraulic fluid as far as I know. Again, I'm not a tractor mechanic. Read some suggestions here: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=78585
for trany oil to get to motor oil, it would have to go past your clutch and spline,,i do not know how it could do that, but i am only a back yard bloke..............................................................................
