    Accounting question: In the U.S., if a company refunds money, can this money ...

    be included in the "cost of revenue"?

    Even though they refunded the money, I believe they can apply shipping charges, promotional charges, and any services that were applied to the product as cost of revenue. So I would say yes. I however am not an accountant and never took any course remotely relating to accounting. I'm just surmising base on what I read here > http://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/cost-of-revenue.asp
