    how do you insert page numbers at the bottom of the page

    I tried following the directions under Help, but am only getting the first page numbered, while the remaining 48 pages are not.

      I have Word 2010. I go to "Insert" , and "Page Number", hit the down arrow and then the right one. You didn't state which program you have.
