    How can you lower a hospital bill ???

    I can't afford to pay the deductible on my hospital bill.

    Typically, lower deductibles result in higher monthly premiums. If such an option existed for you when you bought your insurance, you seemingly chose to go with the lower monthly payments and the corresponding higher deductible. You can't have it both ways.

    If you have a deductible then you have insurance. Call your insurance company and explain you can not afford the deductible. See if they have a more affordable plan for you. You can call the hospital's billing dept and speak to the person there to see if they can adjust the bill or make it into smaller payments that you can afford. If you are in the USA, you can thank Obama for the outrageously high deductibles.
