Yes, just make sure you back up all your data stored on the computer now to an external hard dive. You will have to uninstall the operating system you have in order to reinstall Windows XP. If your ram is that full, you may want to consider deleting some stored stuff you no longer need before you add it to the XP os once it's reinstalled.
