Logging in to ScienceDirect®

Many ScienceDirect® features are available only after you log in. After logging in, you can register to access personalization features and alert services.

• When you are outside the access range of your IP or institution, you can access ScienceDirect anytime, anywhere with the remote access feature. iPhone users must use this feature. See Activating and using remote access to ScienceDirect for this login procedure.

 To log in:

1. Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields.
   

   Both are case-sensitive.

   
   


2. The Remember me feature is selected for you. This means that you will be automatically logged in to ScienceDirect on this computer for future sessions.

If you are using a public computer, the Remember me feature could allow other people to access ScienceDirect using your login.

To prevent this, click the Remember me check box to uncheck it and log out at the end of your session.

If you do not have a username and password, click Not Registered? on the Login box. You will be able to create a username and password, and then log in to ScienceDirect as a Guest.
