    how do you reset pasword if you cannot pull up desk top?

    My son has a new Dell laptop with windows 8 and it will not let him get pass his log in. when he types in his password, it tells him to retry.  We do, and get the same answer over and over again  It was working yesterday.

      He has to type it in exactly as he typed it when he created it. Look for a forgot password option. Follow the instructions.
