davikes - Do you not mean expediently? - a means to achieving an aim which may not be fair or moral - this being the adverb of expedient the noun. He acted expediently for example resorted to various expedients to get the money together.

expediently:  without hesitation
exponentially:  increasing quickly by large amounts
