I have pain and swelling in my elbows and feet. My feet hurt so badly I can hardly stand if I have been sitting or lying down for very long. What could be causing this?

I am a forty-four year old, causacion female with liver problems.  I don't know if this has anything to do with my symptoms or not.  I am in construction and stand and use my hands and arms many hours of the day.

How's your blood pressure? The swelling could be due to high blood pressure. Have you ever been checked for diabetes? Congenital heart failure can also cause swelling. It's best to see a doctor to find out for sure what is going on.

yeah, with CHF, the swelling is edema i.e. water retention.

Pain and swelling says blood work needs to be done. Could be high blood pressure, arthritis, diabetes,  carpal tunnel like stuff. See a real doctor, we can only give  you guesses………...

I do not know if it's some virus or it's due to muscles being stiff. If stretching doesn't help then go to the chiropractor at least once a week or month if that doesn't help or it gets worse go to the doctor and see what ails you. I hope you get better
