Are you giving up anything in the New Year?

I will be giving up processed food I bought some Chimichangas at Costoco. Ugh. Ugh. I am going to try to get my money back.The Wontons with Cilantro are almost as disgusting. NO MORE PROCESSED FOOD!

SORRY FOR THE UNDERLINE. I CAN'T STOP IT. BUT IT IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

I'm hoping that I'll continue "giving up things" that I no longer need, that no longer hold sentimental value, that are no longer useful, or that I haven't looked at for a year. I like the odd empty shelf or drawer! :)

Problem with the kiddie pool is that it wrinkles your toes ... in your case your ... paddles. What are those things on the end of your legs called?

I've got it! They are your most dainty of webbed feet. You paddle like mad under water and on the top of the water you sail along all calm and collected.
By the way, I'm doing exactly what you're doing. I'm starting with my bedroom dresser.

What's another habit that would be fun? Go to that when you want to smoke. Julie ... It took me soooo long to quit and it cost so much money with all the classes I took.

Ever been to a rock concert? Ever sit back and listen to tunes ... you can get hypnotized. It's no big deal. I like it. I'm listening to The Doors right this minute. That will do it. : )

I have decided to stop all of my checks and correspondences forth-with and herein afterward and forevever here afterward on this planet called earth as the year,….gulp….2013. Ok I’ve done it, swearing off that number as the year, it is about, to not be any longer…as my new years resolution to stop doing that. yup.

It's not LENT.
I'm going to try to be more active physically and socially, enjoy completing some of the hundreds of projects I've accumulated, read more, and keep a small, daily journal.

I've lived in maybe 60 houses - some before marriage, some after. I want to write a little essay about each one - not more than 15 minutes. The purpose of this will be to give it to my kids and grandkids after I fly off some day. I've tried it before but it's messy. I want this one to be neat. All these dwellings have been in California.

Are you going to describe the house, or some of the memories that were created there?
My poetry class starts 1/13. It's been a long time since I've concentrated on creative writing, and I am looking forward to the challenge.

My poetry class was more fun than I've ever had (Maybe) Our teacher had humor and a way unusual way of teaching. I loved him but not in the way that would cause trouble with my husband. We laughed. He believed in VERBS. Use em. Your writing won't go flat. Post a poem right here on akaQA. I will do the same but ... you have to go first. Poetry just isn't what people think it is. I hope you get a good person.Maybe someone else will come forth. I may take a class too ... don't know yet.
My writing will be stream of consciousness. I don't like to THINK.
Stream of consciousness allows for this. Just let your ideas float.
