What is the greatest sign of the true Christian church?

Each religion places a claim on their rightness. Is there a true church?

I believe the answer is simple, they look to the Bible for the answers of any question. They don't make up rules or customs, it's purely what the Bible states on the matter.

Politics happens in many churches and can lead to the downfall of them. I believe if they pray and fast when considering putting someone into a position of authority or hiring someone to work at church, it's letting God make the decision. To many churches rush into hiring the wrong people, once the wrong people get into leadership, the enemies have their people placed into the church.

Another important factor is teaching the whole Bible, when you find a church that teaches the entire Bible, usually you will find a blessed church. Hope this helps?

I believe it is in an individuals willingness to show understanding, compassion, and love for another human being regardless of who, why, or where. Many people quote parts of the bible and take it out of context or interpret it as they please to pass judgement. They often do this very brazenly, while overlooking the core principles of Christianity.

Show me someone who walks this world with a sincere willingness to help someone in need, without judgement, and without any ulterior motive...and you will find someone who truly has God in their heart. To me, I believe God doesn't have to be found in a church every Sunday, but he is with us everywhere...and our actions say more than words ever can.

First do they teach from the Bible OLD TESTAMENT AND NEW TESTAMENT
and is true love present.Then watch their actions because action
speak louder than words.Due they help the poor and needy and hopefully they still ask people to come to JESUS!!for we are not righteous at all.The only righteous are THE FATHER JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT!!

Look for where their teachings are coming from. Look for how they interpret the bible. Every church has slight different views on Jesus's words. Look for the church who sees the real meanings(metaphor) of the bible, not literally oriented. Most importantly, look for the church where you can feel love and forgiveness, not just by words and teachings.

I have big trouble with this part of his recommendation. The Bible says “prove all things…”1 Thess 5:21 KJV, “Test everything…” NIV. 1 John 4:1 “…do not believe every spirit but test the spirits…” HOW COULD ANYONE TEST ANYTHING IF NOTHING WAS LITERAL? There is a rule in communication that goes like this: “Take everything as literal unless it involves an absurdity or a direct contradiction of another clear statement.” If no one recognized this law we could have no hope of communication. There are three types of speech; literal, figurative and a lie. If there is no indicator that a statement is figurative (a metaphor) then we MUST take it as literal!

I am looking for a church that takes ppl as they are and dont try to change them. One that allows Jesus to work in that persons life, as the church family leads by example. A church that fills the needs of the community with out looking for praise or recognition. One that teaches the LOve of Christ not the damnation of all. I am looking for a Church that is Spirtit filled and Spirit lead not proud or boastful.. When I find that.. I know I have found a home.

christian= Christ so the first requirement is a "true" understanding of Jesus. Each "false church" looses it in the understanding of Jesus, the Blood Atonement, the relevance and veracity of scripture, and the "Return." Heb 6:1 lists the basic beliefs of a new believer. 1)Repentance form dead works; 2)Faith toward God; 3)Doctrine of Baptisms(immersion); 4)Resurrection from the dead; 5)Eternal Judgement. Each false belief or false church deviates from one or more of these basic doctrines.
Because a new person may not know what the true beliefs of the organization may be, one outward indicator is the presence of a larger percentage of new believers (less than one year.) The groups that cling to the truth seem to grow with new believers more. If there are less 5% new believers with two years this is a sign that God is not sending new believers there to grow. I think it is a warning. if the group is less than to years old, you can see if you are growing closer to the things of the Lord personally as a test. If the true scriptures are taught then put in force, growth happens. It is as simple as eating food and exercising. Only food makes fat and sassy, only exercise makes tired malnourished bodies. The same goes with the things of the Spirit. All work no word, yields "burnout;" all word no work leads to dead faith! It works better in balance.

I think I found the true Christian church of God. Well I didn't listen far enough to know if it's actually been found. It's all boring stuff to me.

Actually the Church of God at that link is not the true church. The true church was established at Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was revealed and instilled into the people. The Holy Spirit is still doing the same thing to the True Christians today.

The true Church, is found within the hearts of men, each and individually, when they seek within, this is the Living Truth, no matter what the tradition. Traditrions calling themselves Religion is a violation of the very word Religion.

In my younger days I attended Sunday school and Church but as I grew older and hopefully wiser I found the so called "Christians" to be arrogant, pig headed and boastful.

Only a week ago a Baptist lady told me she knew she was getting a front seat in heaven, if that is not boastful what is?
