I've got a thinker, here...every time I restart my laptop, a message box appears saying"There was an error starting the application. Please reinstall the application."...Tried everything,to no avail...How would I find out what application they are talking about? should I simply delete all applications, sinse I never use any of them, anyway?Or try to troubleshoot?

I would go the your Control Panel and check the most recently installed Programs. Sometimes other things may be included in the installation process.

If you have not installed anything lately, it may be an application that has been installed as an 'add-on' in your internet browser.
