It's up. It's beautiful. My daughter, a mom of 3) loaned me a movie today. Title: Elf. She loved it. Ahem ... I didn't. I thought it was very cute that she still has kind of a belief in Santa Claus. I hope she doesn't give me a pop quiz on Elf. (At first I thought she said Alf. It took a little while to get that straighted out. : )

Looking forward to putting mine up this year. I didn't know you could get purple Christmas trees. This is perfect for me as purple is my favorite color, throw some gold tinsel and decorations on it, and it will blend in nicely with my decor.

The Grandkids school year ends on Thursday next week.I expect our tree to go up on Friday next week.

I think it will be #1 on the agenda as soon as school finishes.

It's a very important job for them, you know & they are the only ones with the qualifications to do it. :):):)

My wife put up the tree 2 weeks ago, it is fibre optic or optic fibre which we have had for six years, the lounge room and family room is full of xmas decorations, i have started to put up the lights on the house, front and back, the grand kids love it, and so do i.

How do you teach the top to put the lights up? A stool? That’s asking for an accident (for me anyways)……….

The lights are attached all through the tree...up the stem and throughout the branches. Easy peasy. :)

Wise. However, you can reach the limit just by going to the grocery store. Hoiday cakes, holiday cookies, holiday mixes, holiday beverages. The very very very worst of all is the HOLIDAY MUZAK. Arggggh. I listen to every tune.

Next week probably,we don't put so much up nw as we used to though, it seems to get earlier every year. Some houses around here have been decorated up for about 3 weeks ( mostly those with children) it must be a long time coming for little ones.
