Not a question! My power has beeen off since Sunday at 515PM back on today at 1100AM I have been pioneering witch I DO NOT LIKE! Glad to be back in the modern world! LOL :)

Welcome back. How did you manage it? I hope you did not have to go without heat. Get a generator! Glad you survived your pioneer days!

Used a generator for fridge and freezer! Went to neighbors for buckets of water for flushing! We have a wood burner for heat and light cooking! We all do not realize how much we rely on electric power! Going to hit that shower soon!

You fared better than I did when I lost my power for a week. I'm glad you have a generator, it makes all the difference if you can run a furnace off it too. I had no generator and only had two small propane heaters for heat. One in the bird's room and one that sat next to my chair and heated only the small circle around the chair. I'm on town water so was able to flush. I can say the one thing I missed the most was coffee, second to that, a shower and hot meals. I now have a generator :)

I kept hot water on the wood stove for tea. He has a tiny coleman burner to make a wee pot of coffee. We didn't remember how long to perk coffee! Smelled great though!

I think back when I used a peculator it was 20 minutes. I could have used my gas grill for cooking but I needed the propane for the heaters.

Clu, That was some storm ! Glad you got your power back on.Sorry it too so long. It must have been cold in your house at night. That's what spouses are for.......to put your cold feet on his/ her legs. I miss my husb for that.

We have a wood stove in the living room! It keeps the house quite warm. In fact we just had a furnace put in a few years ago. So we were warm. Those spouses are handy for warmth though! LOL :)
