I don't buy people expensive gifts, and my parents never bought me expensive gifts.Neither did my late husb. He did buy me good jewelery at a discount jewlery store, adn it wasn't terrible expensive. He used to give his daughter and son in law and grandkids more money than I thought was neccessary for a gift, but he's not here anymore :-\
