    48 litres

    48 Liters as 7x/8 - 6 = 3x/4 so x is calculated to be 48 and after substituting x with 48 both sides will evaluate 36

18 litres .The car used 6 liters and is 75%  full. That means that the car holds 24 litres, and the car used 1/4 of its capacity. 24 X 3/4 = 18.   Your question is flawed. The car cannot be both 7/8 full and 3/4 full at the same time. The 7/8 is irrelevant. All that is needed to be known is that it used  6 liters and is 75% full.

she said it was 7/8 full. But, after using 6 liters, it's only 3/4 full.Seems like it should be the other way around.
