    Great party song, Romos.

When that song came out, I used to listen to it from sun up to sun down. It was the longest 45 RPM that ever came out. 7 minutes ?

Yes. This will now be stuck in my brain for the evening. Thanks. I hate this song!    :(

    I don't like it, either.

Geico commercial midnight rider -"-I've got one more silver dollar" I think geico has fantastic commercials ! Like the hump day camel! LOL:)

    itsmee

Ohhhhh.....the HUMP DAY ......funniest commercials ever.
"Hey Julie, do you know what day this is?"
    ROMOS

Yep really catchy...now stop bloody singing it CB...LOL!!!!!

LOL......You can't escape me nor my singing.
    mycatsmom

so sick of Geico commercials. I could SCREAM !
    itsmee

I can understand that, Juliana. I just want to say here that THE HUMP DAY commercial has absolutely nothing to do with Burt Bacharack. (I don't care for him ... only saw him in one commercial ... but I never will care for him)
    mycatsmom

love all Bacharach's songs. he wrote a lot for _______________ her name escapes me at the senior moment. She was Whitney Houston's cousin.

    Dionne Warwick.

Barry Mannilow (or however you spell it) gets stuck in my mind all of the time. Can’t turn him off.

    LOL!!! Sorry...couldn't resist.
    itsmee

Yes, my my, dear Ducky ... You picked my very favorite Mannilow line ...
NOT. What a big big head is he. He does NOT make me sing. He never has. He never will.
I wasn't quite sure what y'all think of Mannilow. However, you now have my opinion.
Will I ... Will I live to regret it?
    ROMOS

    Funny!!
NONE of his stuff EVER sticks in my head, thank goodness!!!!

I actually like some of his songs. Would I pay to see him perform though? No! Do I have any of his music in my home? No!
    mycatsmom

Lionel Richie songs get stuck in my head......"Stuck On YOu....... "
    Bob/PKB

Enter, my two cents' worth. I love Barry Manilow and all his sappy songs. SOMEWHERE IN THE NIGHT is one of my favorites.
His head seems right for his body....
    itsmee

Hi Bob/PKB : D If anybody makes anybody SING it just has to be a GOOD THING
    Bob/PKB

True, true, itsmee. I do like 'Stuck on You', too.
What are you doing up so late!! I was in Visalia with my mom for several hours. Took a break to go to Michael's, but was there til 12:40 A.M. She fell last week and isn't doing well. Gotta take pup to vet at 8 to get the pin removed from her leg...never a dull moment. TTYL...will email you
    itsmee

I;ve been watching a TV show that portrays the US when the power grid gave out and we had no more lights. Very scary.

I went to Michaels tonight too. I decided I was going to paint a huge canvas. HUGE. I did not stay in there very long because the line went clear to the back of the store. Also ... I'm not gonna paint any huge canvas. Why were you in Michaels for so long?

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Did she break a hip? Hope she feels better soon. I will watch my email. Hope your pup is ok too. You're having a difficult one.
    mycatsmom

Somewhere in the Night was made by Sinatra, wasn't it ?
    Bob/PKB

ITSMEE: femur, near the hip. I've been out all day; exhausted from last night. Nearly 200 miles on my car in less than 2 days.
I bought tons of beads at Michael's...the strings were half off. There are so many different kinds; and I had to get findings and stuff, too. :D I want to use the 50% off coupon for a big book on jewelry making.
You make me laugh. I bought the beads, but I'm probably not going to get through them in ten years. You are smart to leave before you go into debt with paints and canvasses and brushes (they had all that on sale, too....)
MCM: Frank and his daughter sang "STRANGERS in the Night".

Follow follow, we will follow Rangers,
    Everywhere, anywhere,
    We will follow on....

    OY VEY !

    ROMOS

    It never leaves you...HUH???

Well, thanks to earlier today.   Stayin' Alive

...perhaps because my mom is struggling to do so. She fell last week, broker her femur, went dementia on narcotic pain killers, can't swallow, and has congestive heart failure, not to mention other health concerns and nearly 95.

    itsmee

Really difficult! Sorry. The dementia must have really scared you ... all of it scared you.

:( Hard to watch isn't it? Hope she gets well soon.
    mycatsmom

my mom went all thru that. It breaks your heart. She died at 91 & 1/2. I was the only one here to take her of her many problems. Joe die a year and 1/2 before her. My bro lives out of state.
    Bob/PKB

Thank you, ladies. It is scary. Mom's sister went dementia after surgery and never recovered ...ended up Alzheimer's and gone in her 70's (which seems quite young compared to 95). She (and I) am blessed my sons are at her side. She does a lot for them, as everyone knows, and they, in turn, are devoted to her.
No one knows how this will turn out, and I don't want to be too optimistic. The swallowing thing is a tear more than a wrinkle. She can afford professional home care, so, if she leaves the hospital, she will get to go to her home again.
MCM: Mom lost her last sibling (he was 87 to her 83) and then her husband less than three months later back in 2001. I can't imagine going through what you (and Mom) went through losing your loved ones. My sister is less than two miles away. My kids are very close by, too.

Good wishes to your Mom. Tell her she has many blessings from all of us for her to get better.
    bustieone

So sorry that she has to go through this, hopefully she will not suffer needlessly. Prayers are with your family. Regards
    Bob/PKB

Thank you clu & bustieone...she has regained her swallowing reflex and eating again. Systems that "go" are going. Your prayers and good thoughts are heard and appreciated.
