I did hear something recently about that on a documentary that they tried to get rid of him, b/c he was taking too long to make the movie and was over budget. But, they should have realized, You Get What You Pay For.That's why it turned out to be a terrific movie.......b/c he did take such care with the angles, the lighting, the props,the audio, the dialouge,etc. The list is endless that a good director must know how to do
