I have several best friends, each on a different day and time. They appear when/if I need them. To name a few I’ve got: James, Jeff, Melanie, Pam, Kathy,David, Mary, I could go on…….

Most people meet in church when they're in a new town. That wouldn't be for me.
My neighbor is weird. She's really friendly sometimes and other times she is really nasty.

I know...I'm here. "Ambivert...One who is relatively comfortable in most social situations but also relishes and needs time alone". Hey, who knew? :)

Extroverted introvert then...what Duckers said....I was very comfortable onstage performing and as leader of my various bands and am very comfortable with strangers and the very few people I choose to share my time with but overall, if I were alone on a deserted island I would be quite happy to build a covered hammock and gather food and be creative all alone as I do so enjoy my own company..I'm all I've got really. ;)
lindi...I know exactly what you are saying. Most people believe that I am VERY outgoing and busy with friends all the time but truthfully, I love my alone time...I actually NEED my alone time. I'm also sometimes, in certain situations, feeling quite shy and wishing that I didn't have to be there. I'm told that no one notices that as I don't show it. I just found that word "ambivert" today and it really does describe me.

Miley Cyrus can sing. Her song Lilac Wine is good. The one where she sits on a swing with a long black skirt blowing in the breeze.

So is mine! Carol. Carol was my best friend. We were kinda raised together. We fought a lot. I gave her a bloody nose and we didn't get to go to the Saturday afternoon movies. She said I wasn't a good piano player. (I hadn't taken lessons) She lived in a glass house and when she grew up she became an artist and writer - column writer. She drank too much. She smoked too much. One time at a fancy dinner in her honor, she passed out and slipped under the table. This was shortly before her death. It seems to me she didn't enjoy her success. I still look at the phone and think of calling her. She died ten years ago. Well, Juliet, I bet you didn't expect such a l--o--n--g story. I hope your Carol is still with you,
...love your response itsmee...such an interesting way with words and imagery, especially with the underlying emotion and rockin' little shockers in what must have been an often rich and dramatic relationship with Carol. I know a Carol...she was born on Christmas day. She's a bit of a wingnut...thinks everything is a conspiracy, she might be right. ;)
