Is this a question or comment? I think what a doctor prescribes is between the doc and patient. However many doctors prescribe too easily. And some people will go to multiple doctors to get their goodies! This sometimes makes it hard for folks who really need the pain killers to get them ! I don't pretend to know the answer or don't know if there is one. However I wish all patients with a need can get relief!

It's unfortunate the additional expense of blood work is eminent. Possibly this is due to the number of doctors and patients who abuse prescriptions and medications. There should be a system to prevent addicts from going to multiple doctors and getting multiple RX for the same drug.
I hate the idea of more control and invasiveness, but a computer program that was shared by pharmacies could help. The name and birthdate of the patient is entered along with the medication being prescribed. If the patient was trying to gain multiple RX for the same med, the system would alert a pharmacy that the RX has already been filled elsewhere. They could then deny to fill the additional RX and also notify the doctors that the patient is trying to duplicate meds with multiple doctors, through the same program.

I asked the contact people for your e-mail but did not get a response. As I wrote, my address is the same as before. You just put a dot between the first word and the second word.
We seem to have some things in common that do not make for good discussion for world wide akaqa.
I'd like to hear from any regular members of akaqa. It seems like an impossible task to get them. It could be fun.
