On your opening page or as some call it, the icon page (where all your shortcuts are) click on the IE logo to open your IE browser. If you uninstalled IE, you can download it again from here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/download-ie You can keep Firefox as you can have more than one search engine installed on your computer.
