Did you turn it on it's side to wash it? Did you get water into the motor? Why did you wash it with a garden hose? It has electrical wires, does getting them wet make sense to you?

No I did not turn it on its side, it was so nasty I just purchased it from a friend of mine and it needed to be severely cleaned. can the problem be the P.I.C. starter with run capacitor? That's what I'm leaning towards!
OK, you say it's not getting cold. This to me means it at least is running? Sorry, you've not given a lot of information. Do you hear the compressor kick on to circulate the coolant? Since it's not getting cold it could be a compressor issue. Check to make sure no wires to the compressor got pulled out or sliced in the move. If the compressor does turn on then check the coils to make sure none are crimped or broken or cut. Next check to see if there is coolant left in it. There should be a fill and a drain for the coolant off the compressor on lines attached to it. See if you can find the drain to get coolant out to make sure there is some in the coils. I'm assuming it was running properly before you bought it so something had to have happened to it during the move. I am not a refrigerator repair person so I can only guess here. You seem to have more knowledge than I. As for the capacitor that is a possibility if the motor only hums.
