Homes are not foreclosed upon without notification. Somebody is not telling you the whole story.
Your first stop is Bank of America, obviously. Find out exactly what is going on from them. Who was making payments while you were away (and,by the way, THANK YOU)? That person should have a clear paper trail of the payments being made.
I'm not suggesting anything, but I DO know of a man whose wife neglected to use the house payment money to make the house payment. This went on for several months, and, yes, the bank DID foreclose on the home.

She must have been notified that the house was in foreclosure. I believe the process is explained on the foreclosure notice or a phone number is given so that it can be explained. You should consult a lawyer but foreclosure is foreclosure. I do not see where there is a case that could be made to stop the bank from selling the house. Thank you for your service to this country. I wish the laws were different for those who serve. I believe anything they own should be protected from repossession while serving, especially if they have to leave a good paying job to go fight for this country and get the crappy military pay for doing so.
