Did you update your Facebook profile page to the new e-mail address? Unless you changed the e-mail address you first provided when you created your e-mail account, Facebook will continue to use that one. You have to log into Facebook, click the gear symbol 
found on the top right corner of the Facebook page, then click on general and then edit your e-mail address.
