    how do I take a snapshot of the screen

    On your keyboard, very top row, the small keys, after the F12 key see "PrtSc" or "PrintScreen" press it one time. Then go to your start button, all programs > accessories > Paint. Click on Paint to open the program. When Paint opens, look to the top left corner and see the Clipboard image. Under that see "paste", click it. You should see the screen shot you took.


    Or if you have a newer Microsoft system, you may have  the snipping tool. This is also found by going to start > all programs > accessories
