That is the hallmark of a good link collab the ability to distinctly understand the ethos behind the design. And here the dial represents the bulk of what Phillips was going for. You are hit with this vintage sensibility link thanks to the sector link dial and the throwback coloration of the numerals. Excising the subdial allows for complete dial symmetry. Could you imagine that seven o'clock subdial interrupting this design It would be utter madness but luckily we don't have to imagine such things.
