It's a simple show of affection. My opinion, it means about as much as a kiss on the cheek does.

Perhaps he missed her cheek and kissed her nose by mistake. I normally kiss someone on the cheek, as long as they put their face forward to be kissed. A female friend of ours always kisses on the lips, I don't really like that, I only kiss my wife on the lips, no one else.
