If the travel agents are unhelpful ask them to refer you to who can. Any conversations,dates etc  keep records/copies.  Put in writing all your complaints and send them to travel agents and copies to anyone they suggest, with covering letter. Just in case you can take this to small claims court. You could see a solicitor for advice you could all chip in with cost. this should be refunded if you win.  Citizens advice is a good option, and maybe able to help by intervening between yourselves and travel agents.  There is a regulator ombudsmen who may fight your corner. You will have to get busy googling  for info in your area.  Good luck its very disappointing for you all. 

Have you contacted Sunshine? Where do you live? Do you have a state attorney general, I would start there if you can not get Sunshine to work with you.

You have to contact whomever you went through to take this holiday. We are a worldwide general question and answer forum. Here in the USA, we can go to our Attorney General when a business refuses to meet it's end of a bargain. I do not know what the British government does for such matters.
