Beauty Pageants
My cousin's granddaughter was crowned Miss Teen California last weekend (6/29/13).
I don't know her well, but she is an excellent student, active in her school and community, plays piano, and is a well-liked young lady wherever she goes.
What prompts a person to enter a contest like Miss Teen? None of our family has a history of entering a similar contest (although I did enter my first-born in a baby contest. He was the "Supreme King", which meant I sold more tickets than anybody else).
How would you support your daughter if she were to enter a contest like this one? Or would you?
