        Possibly just starting a short conversation, or giving a friendly smile can break the ice. It doesn't sound like you know the person well enough to just blurt out how you feel. Step back and make a sane plan. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

          If you feel that you can"t say it to his / her face the first time ,  then you should try to write him / her a  letter telling them how you feel, this way you can express yourself better in writing.
