I liked playing soccer because it involved personal and well as team effort.
When my sons were young (up to age 10), I coached youth soccer. My middle son was an exceptionally good player, and he practiced at home for hours, really focused. I have a photo of him at about 4 years, getting ready to kick a ball. His plant foot is line up parallel to the ball, his eyes are focused totally on the target, and his kicking leg is coming down. It is an awesome photo. I'm hoping he'll be a coach some day soon; he's great with kids and knows his stuff.
