Something terrible happening to my kids, or their kids.

    Bob/PKB

Way too much, but I'm responsible for most of my fate.

    That's a scary thought.....:D

Losing my independence and having to be cared for... by a person, a hospital, a nursing home.  Yuk!  Like most people, I would like to be alive and healthy one minute, and dead the next.

But I'm 71 years old now. Do I need to hurry? :)

ducks, I thought you were young ! anyway, we all hope we can die in bed by just sleeping away when we get old.

Don, like James Gandolfini did ? He dropped dead last week at 51 yrs old. It's nice for him, but hard on his family The good die young......like my friend's son did .....in April of leukemia. He was 34 :-(

    MCM... I AM young!!!!!!!

I fear getting old. Uh, older. I worry like Benthere does.

Yes, Don, Dear: My husband was actually reading these responses and he reminded me of the alternative to getting old too, You guys with your logic ... What can we do?
I’ll tell you there are days when ... Uh, never mind. I’d be edited to the moon if I said that. Have a good day or whatever zone you’re in.

I wouldn't mind growing old, if I had somebody to grow old with.

My fear is.........not having anybody to take care of me when I get old. And not being able to get around my house or apt. And when I have to quit driviing, how am I supposed to get food and other necesesities.? My mother had these problems, but she had me to help her with all her problems.

    hector5559

That goes for a lot for a lot of us,
    Bob/PKB

hector is right, mcm. It's a heavy thought, especially for a single person.
    itsmee

This is a very scary thought. mcm, I have the same worries. I can’t drive and I have chronic pain. If my husband died I’d be stuck in my house. My daughter lives around the corner but she’s BUSY.
    mycatsmom

yes, itsmee. Most of my friends say their daughter lives nearby, but they don't get to see her much . My one friend says she's getting, " I could never live with you " from her daughter. One day, when she was with her daughter, the daughter was distant to her,but was texting HER daughter.

I can't live with my mom, either, but I enjoy her company whenever we are together. I make no effort to get out unless I have to, and I know I am missing out on my mom, sons, grandkids... I do take my medicine, but just can't get out of this blahness.

    I’m there too, P.

That the American people, still asleep, do not wake up in time to help stop the destruction of this nation and that we leave behind a legacy of slavery and servitude to an illegal government that might be near impossible to rise up from ever again.

I'm referring all the administrations that have brought us to this point we are at now. Obama is just adding the final links to the chain that binds all civilians into slavery and servitude to the government, the same government who is suppose to be in servitude of the people.

All of Obama's closest advisors all have arab first names and last names.

They believed in his hope and change. He's a good orator with a teleprompter. He was convincing even though he is a man without a traceable past. That and people just wanted their first "black" president even though he's only 50% black. Plus he gives away stuff. His followers like "free" stuff even though that "free" stuff is at the expense of our civil liberties.

plus, the last two elections were fixed, like a horse race.

Uh, after reading the mentioned answers I suppose I'm not getting deep enough.  I was going to write something like a hot dog w/o mustard.........
