    When did potatoes got peeled for commercial purposes?

    like french fries, or wedgies, etc.

    French fries have been around since the 1800's. Frozen fries were first introduced in the USA in the 1940s. I can not find any information for commercially peeled potatoes probably because peeling potatoes was not a new idea.
