Other than both wars being CIVIL wars, it's hard to see any links, or even comparisons. The two wars happened two hundred years apart.
There were different issues being fought over; in England, a tyrannical King versus an opposing religious fervour on the part of ordinary people.
As a Brit, I understand that the American civil war was fought over the issue of freedom for black slaves. No wars are ever quite that simple, however, so there may have been side issues that I don't know about.
However, at first glance at your question; there doesn't seem to be much in common.
