Romos, That's called projectile vomiting in the medical world. And it hardly ever happens.....except in the case of brain damage.

@mcm, you've obviously never had the norovirus yet, believe me, it's not just brain damage that causes projectile vomiting, plus the word is used differently all over the world.

Think of a volcano erupting.  The lava is pouring out, SPEWING.
Think of someone really telling off someone else.  SPEWING.
It's kind of an uncontrolled dispensing of (words), (material - i.e. lava).

Not really how we in Scotland use the word, everyone to their own though...LOL!

You always get the answer a minute or two before me. Scotland sounds like a nice place to be, except for the new construction. Have a pleasant evening. It's 2:30 PM here and the swimming pool needs an occupant.

Are you Ray Harryhausen in disguise Don?

Or , the word spewing can be used in the slang form as something as a disappointment .

e.g.  We were spewing, our football team lost the game 20 to nil on Saturday.

Please note: This answer is coming from an Australian, it could be just one of our many peculiar phrases.

The experience is memorable and enduring. To perform the act of “spewing”  you should watch the movie “The Exorcist” and consume 1or 2 cans of pea soup and ¼ tsp of ipecac as a gulp down chaser. Be brave,Spewing…becomes you!

Scariest friggin movie I've seen in my life, saw it first time round, never again!

Get a grip…its a movie. The people are acting. No actors or animals died in the making of the movie. So watch the movie until you can name all the actors and name every object in the room. Know that you are safe.

    I was 13, shouldn't have got in,movie ahead of it's time.

LETTING out with force as in volcano spewing lava.

It means anything that is spurting out .

Park a custard. Best done on a Persian carpet.

"Parking a custard" that is lovely! Very proper for slang.
It almost sounds to me as if a valet could do it for the person :)

It is an expression apparently used by Sloane Rangers.
